GET TO KNOW US
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church established the Christian Day School (CDS) in September 1968, as an outreach to the community. We are a New York State licensed program offering half-day and full-day sessions, breakfast and late-pick-up for children eighteen months through five years. We welcome families from diverse faith and cultural backgrounds.
CDS offers young children a Christian setting in which to grow, learn and develop physically, socially, spiritually, emotionally and intellectually by:
Fostering self confidence and concern for others by modeling cooperation in work, as well as, supporting a spirit of sharing. Encouraging the child’s innate sense of curiosity, developing her/his intellect through the use of hands-on-experiences. Nurturing the development of motor skills through the use of play, art, dance, and exploration.Teaching simple Christian truths related to the child’s experiences and level of development. CDS has a low child-to-teacher ratio. All of our caring and patient staff members and educators are fingerprint background checked and receive full training, continuing education, and certification in CPR and First Aid.
We are very proud of our park-like safe school playground which was recently refurbished with new equipment thanks to our Enrichment Fund Parent Volunteers. These parents worked on amazing fundraisers to help pay for our new playground and gym equipment.
